About Derma Detect
Assisted Intelligence for Smarter Care
At DermaDetect, we believe that technology should assist clinicians — not replace them. Our mission is to bridge the gap between patient access, diagnostic speed, and clinical accuracy through AI-driven, physician-guided dermatologic care.
Originally developed and validated in clinical settings, DermaDetect is being relaunched in 2025 as a next-generation Assisted Intelligence platform — empowering healthcare providers to make faster, more informed skin assessments while giving patients accessible, reliable answers from anywhere.
Our Approach
DermaDetect combines two powerful diagnostic inputs
AI-powered image analysis – advanced computer vision identifies and classifies over 38 different skin condition types with 80%+ diagnostic accuracy and 97% top-3 accuracy.
Smart intake questionnaire – a logic-based, dermatologist-inspired questionnaire that mirrors how clinicians think and ask. This structured intake ensures the AI engine receives meaningful context — not just photos — leading to more precise assessments.
The result is a two-pronged diagnostic pathway that mirrors real dermatology decision-making:

Founded ClosedLoop.ai in 2017, which won the $1.6 million AI Health Outcomes Challenge sponsored by CMS - a project conceived of by Adam Boehler when he was running CMMI.

In my current role, I lead custom primary and secondary market research studies to help companies find and understand the value their products bring to the marketplace, leveraging both my strong understanding of the clinical development and commercialization process and my broad, robust knowledge of therapeutic areas across oncology and rare disease indications.
